Building a Buyers List Workshop – February 19, 2011

On February 19th, 2011 from 10 AM to 5 PM, Gordon Catts and Dustin Griffin, will be teaching our first Atlanta REIA “How to Build a Buyers List Workshop” at 1960 Skylar Hill Dr, Suite D, in Buford, GA.
In the highly competitive real estate market we operate in today, it is foolish to wait until you have a property and then try to generate a buyer specific for that property. There has to be a better way!
Generate a list of buyers that you can plug into properties as they become available. If you are in the business of being an investor, it makes sense to create and manage a strong buyers list. It’s much more efficient and will help you make wiser and more profitable real estate investment decisions.

Social Networking 101 Workshop – Feb 20, 2011 – Free for Atlanta REIA Members

We have scheduled our first Atlanta REIA Social Networking 101 Workshop for February 20th, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 1960 Skylar Hill Dr, Suite D in Buford, GA. This workshop, taught by Dustin Griffin, is designed to teach attendees how to network with other people and businesses online in order to promote themselves, their businesses and Atlanta REIA using various online social networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Meetup, Linked In, Realty Join, Skype and much more.
Immediately after this event, starting at 6:30 PM, there is an Atlanta REIA Cashflow Players Game Night at Taco Mac in Suwanee (map) which is only about 5 to 10 minutes from Social Networking Workshop. So first come learn with us and then come play with us!
Be sure to bring your notebook computer or tablet, plenty of business cards, any promotional flyers you use as well as links to your websites, social media sites, etc.

Real Estate Junkie Webcast: Does Your BPO End Up Being “Broker Price OUTRAGEOUS”?!?

Does the following conversation sound familiar?
MITIGATOR: Our counteroffer is $79,000.
YOU: WHAT? The buyer offered $30,000, which IS current market value and current as-is value! We had the BPO last week, where did the value come in at?
MITIGATOR: It came in at $79,000 so you need to call the buyer and get them as close to $79,000 as possible. We need to net 91% of that, which is $71,100.
YOU: I don’t understand, this house is saturated with pet urine and needs $20,000+ in repairs???
This is a real story of a real deal and the person doing this short sale DID NOT ATTEND THE BPO!!! Do you wonder why the value was so exaggerated? They will go round and round with the lender on this file for the next 4 months until that BPO value expires and they can order a new one. SO… is the BPO a deal-maker or a deal-breaker? The answer is YES!

Learn insider secrets of locating property, lenders and other investors, as well as how to research ownership and mortgage information, sales prices, liens and judgments, etc. We will take an actual tour of the courthouse! Courthouse records are easily accessible and offer a variety of opportunities. We will find property owners of vacant properties. Locate legal descriptions of properties. Find out sales prices before making an offer. Find out about private lenders. See what liens and judgments are outstanding against the property before making an offer. Find out what else the seller/buyer owns. We will go into the Deed Record room, examine the books as well as go into the tax assessors domain to determine how to track down ownership of vacant properties.
