The Atlanta Real Estate Market is changing rapidly and if you are not in tune with the current changing market conditions, you are going to be left behind or in a bind. There are substantial players entering the local real estate market and we are rapidly going from a buyer’s market to a seller’s market. This is a time when serious investors are reading the tea leaves and looking for answers. Atlanta REIA is pleased to announce that we have John Holman as our speaker for the July Movers and Shakers Meeting.
John Holman, of HomeVestors (the good folks behind the “We Buy Ugly Houses” ads and billboards), will be discussing his read on the Atlanta real estate market. John is a survivor of the recent housing market collapse and has has been buying and selling houses for over 11 years in the Atlanta area. We are very pleased to have John share his interpretation of the current market conditions and his view of all the opportunities and challenges the future real estate market may hold. At our July Meeting, John will be discussing:
- Buying Houses Below Retail: The ups and downs of buying ugly houses
- Selling Wholesale: The challenges in building and maintaining a viable list of investor buyers
- Selling Retail: The critical steps necessary in order to retail houses in today’s market
- Financing: The challenges in getting retail buyers financed
- 5 Year Outlook: John’s perspective on buying, selling, wholesale prices, government regulations and more!

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could spend an evening with a hands-on builder/rehabber/investor? And wouldn’t it be even better if he would open up and share the opportunities and pitfalls he faces every day in this challenging market? The good news is, this Wednesday, July 18th at 6:30 PM in Buford, GA, Aaron McGinnis will be the speaker at the Atlanta REIA North Group.
Aaron will discuss many of his past and current projects, highlighting the challenges of the design/build process from a speculative builder’s point of view. He will draw poignant lessons from his own mistakes and successes and illustrate from those lessons pitfalls for new investors to avoid, and mental gymnastics for experienced investors to use to challenge themselves to tighten their business practices, their outlook, and their outcomes.
Atlanta REIA North meets on on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 1960 Skylar Hill Dr, Suite D, Buford, Georgia in North Gwinnett County just a few miles from the Mall of Georgia. Atlanta REIA North is led by Dustin Griffin and will focus on a wide variety of cutting edge real estate investing strategies with a special emphasis on Internet Marketing and Technology for the modern day “High Tech Investor”. The cost is $5.00 at the door for non-members.
Immediately after the Atlanta REIA North Monthly Meeting at approximately 9 PM, we will reconvene at the Mall of Georgia Tilted Kilt located at 3480 Financial Center Pkwy in Buford, GA for the meeting-after-the-meeting, AKA Late Nite Networking. We hope you will come out and eat, drink, network, learn and have fun with us and keep the investing conversations going late into the evening! If the North Meeting is running a little late, be sure to save us a seat.
If so, join us on Thursday, July 19th at 7PM for our next Training Opportunity Webcast with real estate expert and President of Charleston REIA, Robert Woodruff, who is going to going to teach you 5 of The Best, Easiest, Cheapest and Safest Ways to market your real estate investing business.
Some marketing strategies work for some businesses, some strategies work for ALL businesses. Some strategies cost $5,000 to $10,000 every month and provide little results. Knowing which strategies work and which strategies waste your small business’s limited resources is extremely valuable knowledge. This specialized knowledge is vital to the success of your marketing efforts as an investor and small business owner and the lack thereof can be detrimental to acquiring massive wealth in real estate.
On this special Training Opportunity Webcast, Robert will teach you…
- The Best Ways – Strategies to get response rates so high from your marketing that professional marketers simply won’t believe you.
- The Easiest Ways – Strategies so easy, a kid can do it… literally. How to use middle and high school kids to do some of your most profitable marketing strategies.
- The Cheapest Ways – Strategies that cost less than a dollar and will make your phone ring off the hook.
- The Safest Ways – Strategies to keep your marketing legal, compliant and make your business invisible to code enforcement.
