If you haven’t heard by now, Atlanta REIA’s New Year Meeting and VIP Party is starting at 5:30PM on January 3rd, 2011 at the Doubletree Hotel in Roswell with our very special guest, Ron LeGrand! This is sure to be our BIGGEST and BEST monthly event so far and you are invited!

This month, Joe Thompson will host Atlanta REIA’s new Haves and Wants Speed Marketing Session starting at 5:30 PM sharp. The purpose of this session is to make deals happen by giving our members the opportunity to quickly market things they HAVE and no longer want and to find things they WANT but don’t yet have. We will be video recording the session and putting it on AtlantaREIA.com for 24/7 playback to help you market your Haves & Wants throughout the month.
Here’s what you need to know to participate: (1) Members and guests are welcome to participate this month. (2) Show up early (5:15PM) to get on our participant list since spots are limited due to time constraints. (3) Bring a single flyer with big, bold letters including your Name, Phone & Email as well as your have’s and wants. We will digitally project your flyer up on the big screen, so avoid fine print that will be difficult for the audience to read. (4) You need to be prepared to address your haves, wants and contact information quickly since you will only have 30 seconds to one minute depending on the number of participants. (5) Remember, you can bring business cards additional flyers with more detailed information for discussion during the networking session and VIP Party.

Shooting Photos & Video, Uploading & Tagging on Facebook
Bring your digital camera to the Atlanta REIA Meeting and Party and take lots of pictures and videos of you and your friends during the event. After the Speed Marketing Session, Dustin Griffin is going to show you how to upload pictures and videos to Facebook from your PC or cell phone and tag yourself and your friends if you don’t already know how. Atlanta REIA Charter/Founding Member Status Ends in Jan 2011
We founded the Atlanta Real Estate Investors Alliance back in June of this year, had our first meeting on July 5th and have been getting stronger and stronger each and every month thanks to your help and support. Our Charter Membership Drive, which began on October 4th, will end on January 31st, 2011. This does not mean that you can’t still become an Atlanta REIA Member, it just means that you will not forever be classified as a “Charter” or “Founding Member” of the Atlanta Real Estate Investors Alliance. If you do choose to become an official Atlanta REIA Charter Member, it will be a designation and honor that you can put on your “resume” for many, many years to come. We will also be forever listing you on our website, as well as a plaque at our headquarters, as an official Atlanta REIA Founding Member of organization. Are You Working On the Wrong Things?
Posted on December 7, 2015 byI recently conducted the first two days of one of my boot camps and shortly thereafter spent two hours on the phone doing one-on-one calls with students. There’s a common mistake I see students making over and over again, and it doesn’t seem to matter if they are new or been around awhile. That mistake is: doing everything they can to feel busy except the critical things required to stay in business.
It’s so easy to be busy. Anyone can do it, and most people would say they’re very busy almost all the time. I hear things like: “If only I had more time, the days just aren’t long enough, so much to do and so little time.” A rat in a circular cage is busy running in circles, but getting nowhere. Pretty soon he has a heart attack and dies. Being busy will not make you rich. In fact, it can have the opposite effect and prevent you from ever achieving wealth. Don’t get me wrong. Rich people are busy too. I’m very busy most of the time with something always chasing my attention. There’s always an endless supply of things to work on that suck up my time. The difference is I constantly and consciously work on…only those items I can’t delegate and are worthy of my attention.
Minutia is a deadly disease that steals away the most productive time of your life and robs you of the great things you could accomplish…if you only had time. Well, I suppose I don’t have to tell you that we all have the same amount of time in a day and no bonus hours will ever be added. Rich people and poor people alike are granted the same opportunity to turn that time into greatness or waste it the same way, day in and day out until they’re dead. Read More→
What’s Wrong With Work?

When I go to Alaska, I don’t work; I go there to kill stuff, and I make darn-sure before the day is over that something dies out there– every single day. I’ve never been on a trip to the resort in all these years where I didn’t fish every single day I was there. I enjoy that. I go fishing every chance I get. When I’m out there, I might be thinking a little bit about work, but I’m thinking more about fishing. When I dive, I dive, and that’s the way entrepreneurs are. Nobody is going to take that away from you, nor should they try, nor should you let them. We’re constantly on the job, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.
I go on cruises, too. Yes, when I go on cruises, I’m working. Every once in a while, Beverly, my wife, talks me into going on a cruise where we don’t work, and I must confess it’s the most boring cruise I take.
Even then, I take something to write. I could not possibly stand to put in the time it takes to go on a cruise without getting something productive done. I’d rather have a root canal on both sides, simultaneously, with no anesthetic, than to go on a cruise and spend all that time just killing time. Entrepreneurs can’t stand to just kill time. At least smart entrepreneurs. I was raised on the beach, but I can’t fathom somebody coming down and throwing a blanket on the beach and laying there all day, with no clothes on, in the sun, getting fried, without absolutely nothing going on but sweat. I don’t get this. I never could get this. It just seems like a waste of time! They call that relaxation, but not to me. I gotta work! Read More→
