New December 2010 Poll: How do you feel about business who refuse to say “Christmas”?

Christmas is without a doubt the most celebrated holiday of the year by people of many faiths. Christians celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ along with the other features and benefits of Christmas such as being with loved ones, giving and receiving gifts, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, the Christmas feast, etc. Many people observe these Christmas traditions whether they are Christian or not. Over the past few years, to avoid offending a very select and vocal minority, many businesses have stopped using the word “Christ” or “Christmas” in their advertising. Instead of “Christmas” they say “Xmas” or “Holiday”. Instead of “Merry Christmas” they say “Happy Holidays”. (Read More & Take Our Poll)

So in this month’s poll, we want to ask how you feel about removing the word “Christmas” from the Christmas season. At Atlanta REIA we say “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!” to be all inclusive, to offend no one and leave no one out when it comes to our well wishes for celebrating and enjoying this festive time of the year.
