The Cash Cow Commercial Real Estate Group is a new educational and networking subgroup led by Steve Brown for new, intermediate and advanced investors with a serious interest in purchasing commercial real estate. At our next Atlanta REIA Movers and Shakers Lunch Meeting on Monday, March 21st at 11:00 AM at 5 Seasons Brewing in Alpharetta, we’ll be talking all about taxes! 2010 was a year of change with respect to tax law with a couple major iterations of new law and then an end of year “back-up” that left a great deal of the “old” law still in place. This has caused a great deal of discussion and confusion. Our special guest speaker on Monday will be Eric Nicoll, CPA, who will discuss all the changes thoroughly to show WHAT has changed and WHEN it will take effect.
Additionally, Eric likes to work with investors towards a mind-set of building wealth. We will touch on several subjects with the intention of becoming aware of the issues: Timing of Income Strategies; Character of Income Strategies; the effect of Social Security Taxes; Benefits of Long-Term Capital Rates; Installment Sales; Tax-Deferred Sales; Other Tax-deferred strategies. Movers and Shakers is an brand new Atlanta REIA educational and networking group led by Gordon Catts that is designed to meet the interests and needs of intermediate and advanced investors. Our first meeting is on Monday, January 17th at 11:00 AM at the 5 Seasons Brewing located at 3655 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta, GA (map). The doors open at 11:00 AM and the program officially starts at 11:30 AM. Atlanta REIA members can attend at no charge and non-members for $5.00. Atlanta REIA is Moving our Main Meeting to the W Hotel Atlanta Perimeter as of February 7th

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Atlanta REIA will be moving to an upscale new venue at the W Hotel Atlanta Perimeter located at 111 Perimeter Center West, Atlanta, GA (map) just across the street from Perimeter Mall. Members and guests can arrive early at 5:00 PM and mingle in the hotel lobby and lounge. We will begin setting up the meeting room at 5:30PM and getting ready for the Haves and Wants Speed Marketing Session which will begin at 6:00 PM sharp. Free parking is available for members and guests in the parking lot conveniently located behind the hotel.
