The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater Atlanta

Dedicating 6 Homes in the Lakewood Heights Community

Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:30 AM (EST)

Meet at 10 Gould Street, Atlanta, GA 30315

Atlanta Fuller Center Legacy Build 2010 - Millard Fuller(Atlanta, GA) September 11th 2010 will be remembered as a Day of Celebration in Atlanta’s Lakewood Community when six families walk into homes that were once abandoned or in dire need of major renovation. This work is part of The Atlanta Fuller Center for Housing’s five year commitment to revitalization and stabilization of Lakewood.

In a time where our state and nation has seen record number of foreclosures, The Atlanta Fuller Center for Housing, with the help of volunteers, and funds from ACORA a Community Renewal grant from the City of Atlanta, shows us that there is still hope and a need to continue to address the housing needs of low-income families. The group purchased an abandoned house and did a complete makeover using Green building materials and technology for the “new” home of Trina Kinson and her daughters who worked side by side with volunteers. This home was done using EarthCraft House standards and is the first known GREEN Certified Renovation completed by volunteers.  The other five houses also received major renovation and will allow the families to enjoy more comfortable living conditions. Kimberly Lacey of HGTV stepped in as a volunteer and donated her expertise to design and landscaping for the six homes. Read More→

Dear Real Estate Investor and Respected Client,

Stefan KasianLet’s face facts. Credit repair doesn’t work anymore. I’m sure you have tried or at least heard of Lexington Law Firm. The letter writing paper mill that churns out letter after letter for you. They mail it to the credit bureaus in hopes some minimum wage employee reading it will help remove that late or charge off for you.

That may have worked years ago. But bureaus have tightened up. And wised up. Unfortunately most credit repair programs use that same old outdated technology that doesn’t work. Believe me, I’ve tried them. I have the same clients you do, that need help getting financed, and until they get financed, that’s a $17,000.00 profit check I don’t have in my hands. And it’s usually credit problems holding them back.

So if you have poor credit or know someone who does, this spells bad news for you. It means your situation isn’t about to improve any time soon. Until now. Read More→

Atlanta REIA is an Atlanta Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, but is not the same as the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc. (GAREIA.ORG). Atlanta REIA is a totally separate Atlanta Georgia Real Estate Investors Association from the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc.

Some people ask if we are a Georgia Real Estate Investors Association subgroup or subchapter, but we are NOT. Atlanta REIA is NOT a subgroup or subchapter of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc. Atlanta REIA is completely independent from Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and always will be.

Others ask if we are a splinter group of Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, but we are not… not really. While it is true that we formed several REIA groups due to our own personal ambitions, we wish to remain close allies with Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and help the organization and its membership while having the flexibility of doing our own thing.
