This article was not easy to write. In fact, it was one of the more challenging articles I’ve written in a while. Why? Because it deals with something that’s not easy for us to talk about: The reason why most people don’t take the action they know they should so that they can have the success they say they want to have.

The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. It’s an old-school, classic, tried-and-true principle: If you want to have success, you’ve got to work hard to make it happen.  And hard work means taking action.

Why do you think most people don’t take the action that needs to be taken?  I believe it comes down to two things: 1. Lack of Knowledge, or 2. Abundance of Fear.  Read More→

You’re going to learn something very useful by reading this article.

This “something” is so valuable that you might want to use it for the rest of your life.

But before you learn what it is, let me start by saying…

The older I get, the more I realize things.

While that statement/observation could apply to just about anything…or anybody, I’d like to use this article to point out how it relates to people’s everyday communication skills.

We live in an age of instant information…yet people these days don’t seem to have any patience to communicate properly. We abbreviate stuff, like lol, brb, and wtf.

We text. We Tweet. We post. We share, and we like. What’s up with all the cat videos?

With so much information all around us, bombarding our everyday lives, it’s easy to understand why we need to curtail our communication. We just don’t seem to have the time to talk with most people the way we used to.  Read More→

Everyone knows that the first thing we need to do to be successful in real estate investing is to find the Holy Grail of real estate: The Motivated Seller.

And when it comes to finding that beautiful motivated seller, there’s essentially two options: FREE and PAID.  Another way of saying that: TIME or MONEY.

Obviously, if you have more money than time, you’ll have more choices at your disposal. Direct Mail is most likely your highest & best choice. Hiring someone to find those motivated sellers for you would be another great option.  But this article is NOT about those options. We’ll save that for another time.

No, THIS article is for those of you without the means to pay much for your marketing. This article is for those of you who are currently ‘financially challenged’ (another way of saying broke), or who have more time than money AT THE MOMENT. Read More→

I almost didn’t write this article. What you’re about to discover is so profoundly – yet simply – powerful, that if you truly understand and apply these simple secrets, I can practically guarantee such phenomenal personal and financial growth over the next few months that you won’t even recognize the dynamic person you’re about to become!

Yes, these secrets are that powerful. But don’t just take my word for it. Read, learn, and apply. Then find out for yourself!  Keep reading…

Now, before we get into “The Big Secret” and all that, we first have to understand something.  And it all begins with you asking yourself a question.  I’d like you to honestly ask yourself this: “Why don’t I have some of the things I desire from life yet?”

Why aren’t you in perfect shape? Why don’t you live in that awesome house yet? Why isn’t your bank account as big as you’d like it to be? Why do you still feel guilt? Stress? Anxiety? Why aren’t you driving the exact car you’d like to drive?

What answer did you come up with? What reasons did you give? Did you blame some outside circumstance or situation? Was it your parents’ fault? Was it Obama? Oh yeah – it was the market! Or maybe it was “The Man” keeping you down, right? Read More→

It’s a LOT more common than you might think. Many doctors label it as a ‘disease,’ and often prescribe medication as a way to make their patients feel “normal” (whatever that is).
It can drive teachers crazy, and make many seemingly normal people feel like there’s something wrong with them.

Of course I’m talking about ADHD: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Did you know that it’s a very common trait among entrepreneurs??

So if you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you feel affected by it – or might know someone close to you who is.  Read on…

The typical ways that this can affect you include: Having trouble focusing on one thing at a time; Constantly getting distracted by things or people; Having challenges getting back to what you were working on before you got distracted, and so on… Read More→

A Quick Guide to Setting Up Your First Squeeze Page – Part 3

Welcome Back…Again! We’ve been talking about Squeeze Pages – what they are, why you should care, and why they work so well. In the last issue, we covered why Squeeze Pages work so well, the required elements of one, and what it should look like. I even gave you an example of one of my kick-butt headlines that worked like gangbusters! So this month, we’ll close things out nicely, but start it off here:

What You Need To Make Your Squeeze Page

There’s a few basic, required things you’ll need in order to make your Squeeze Page work. These items include: Read More→

Welcome Back! If you’re just joining us, we’re talking about what Squeeze Pages are in the wonderful world of Internet Marketing. In the last issue, we covered what the heck a Squeeze Page IS & why you should care.  In this issue, we’re picking up where we left off, staring with…

Why Do Businesses Use Squeeze Pages & Why Are They So Powerful?

Let’s use that example of the restaurant giving away a free dessert or appetizer. They would usually sell that item for $4-$9, right? But then what? They drop the check, collect their money & say good-bye to the customer… Hoping that they’ll come back someday soon.

These days, that’s not enough anymore! If a business is not collecting & building a list of their prospects & customers, they’re missing out on a HUGE opportunity to follow up and maintain communication with them! During that process, they can provide value and build a better relationship with their list.  Read More→

What the heck is a Squeeze Page? And why should you care?

Ok, so there’s this whole “thing” called Internet Marketing. All the kids are doing it these days. The thing is… it works! And one of the neat things that work in Internet Marketing is Squeeze Pages, because they get you LEADS for your business…BIG Time!

I wrote this article because a lot of people have been asking me lately about what’s working in the world of internet marketing to help real estate investors get more leads from the internet. When I ask them if they have any Squeeze Pages up, they either give me a blank stare or silence. Or both.

So if that’s you, then this article is for you & people like you – people who have very little to no knowledge or experience in the powerful yet confusing world of internet marketing.  Trust me, it’s very, very easy to get lost down this rabbit hole. I’ll save my story for another day. Read More→

Fortune Favors the Bold

Posted on November 9, 2015 by

Almost two thousand years ago, the Roman leader Julius Caesar used three bold words to describe a quick victory he accomplished in a war: “Veni. Vidi. Vici,” meaning “I came. I saw. I conquered.”

The fact that we, as a species: 1. Still know who Caesar was, 2. Still know what he said that long ago, and 3. Still hold him in high regard – is a testament that he did some great things in his time.

So how the heck does that apply to you as a real estate investor? Or anything else, for that matter?

It actually applies in many ways. You see, Caesar was the kind of guy that didn’t really mess around. He went to work and handled his business.

If Julius Caesar was a real estate investor in today’s times, he’d probably be someone like a Donald Trump. Wait…Did I just compare Caesar to Trump? Yeah, I guess I did.

In fact, I can pretty much assure that any time anybody did anything worthwhile, they were acting in a BOLD way.

Want to run for President? (on any level, even Grade School) You’ve got to be BOLD. Read More→

Winning The Fight Against Time

Posted on September 16, 2015 by

If you are blessed and fortunate enough to have lived on this planet for a while, there eventually comes a time when you start to notice the same thing that countless ancestors of ours have noticed over the eons… The undeniable fact that, sorry! You’re getting old.

The first signs of this sad truth probably reveal themselves to you in a very subtle fashion… An extra ache when you wake up in the morning; Recuperating from injuries takes longer than it used to; Or it could be a grey hair or an extra wrinkle in your smile. As my (older) brother always likes to tell me, “getting old is not for the faint of heart.”

Such subtle signs are a painful reminder of our own mortality. They can either make you sad or remind you that you may only have a certain amount of time left on this spinning blue rock we call home.

If you like movies, you know you’re getting old when the actors you grew up watching & admiring start showing their age… or die. (Even though Tom Cruise & Keanu Reeves are immortal. They never age!) Read More→

Ok, I admit it. I use four-letter words. A lot. Some of these four-letter words are the kind you may not like to hear if you’re a fine, upstanding person of high moral fiber. Oh well.

The OTHER four-letter words I use are awesome, and if you know how to utilize them properly, they can make you super RICH!  Best of all, you can say THESE four-letter words in ANY crowd, around anyone, without having to worry about getting slapped or getting the evil eye.

So, without any further delay, I’d like to share a short list of some of my favorite four-letter words that can make you rich & are safe to say around women, kids, and Baptists. ;)

I’ll also present these words in a way that mostly applies to real estate, but I promise you that what you’re about to learn here will apply to ALL areas of your life where you want to have success!

FAIR enough? (hey! That was a four-letter word already!)  Here we go…

The first word on the list is an F-Word: FLIP. Read More→

Let’s Agree to Disagree

Posted on July 2, 2015 by

Recently, I was in one of my favorite marketing forums (name withheld) where I usually exchange brilliant ideas with other geniuses, and one of the members happened to mention some negative things about real estate, some of the teacher/gurus, and how ‘this real estate stuff doesn’t work.’

This guy was insulting several of our well-known teachers that we’ve come to know and love. After reading a little bit of what he said, it was clear to me that he hadn’t done any deals, and like most people who say this kind of stuff, was speaking from a place of ignorance and/or frustration.

“Guru X is a scamming d-bag who only makes money from selling courses!”

“Guru Y USED to do deals, but not anymore, and now he just sells this stuff to people who don’t know any better.”

Normally, I don’t like to waste my time with small-minded or ignorant people. But in this case, I chose to set things straight, because there were plenty of other people who would also be reading what was said. And those people deserved to hear the truth. Read More→
