Georgia Real Estate Investors Association (GAREIA.ORG) and the Atlanta Real Estate Investors Alliance (AtlantaREIA.COM)

Atlanta REIA is an Atlanta Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, but is not the same as the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc. (GAREIA.ORG). Atlanta REIA is a totally separate Atlanta Georgia Real Estate Investors Association from the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc.

Some people ask if we are a Georgia Real Estate Investors Association subgroup or subchapter, but we are NOT. Atlanta REIA is NOT a subgroup or subchapter of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc. Atlanta REIA is completely independent from Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and always will be.

Others ask if we are a splinter group of Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, but we are not… not really. While it is true that we formed several REIA groups due to our own personal ambitions, we wish to remain close allies with Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and help the organization and its membership while having the flexibility of doing our own thing.

Others ask if they can be a member of both Atlanta REIA and the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association. The answer is “Yes, you can”, but you must purchase your membership from the appropriate real estate investor organization. We anticipate that many of our members will be members of both Atlanta REIA and the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association in order to expand their real estate education and network contacts in Atlanta and encourage them to do so.

Dustin Griffin, President of Atlanta REIA, served as the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association Technology Director and Board Member at one time, was the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association Technology Subgroup leader  and is currently a Georgia Real Estate Investors Association volunteer.

Gordon Catts, Atlanta REIA’s Educational Director, is Past President of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and a lifetime member of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association.

Jeff Nix, Atlanta REIA’s Business Member Director, is a recent Past President of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and a lifetime member of Georgia Real Estate Investors Association.

Don DeRosa is a Past President of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and is an active Atlanta REIA member and subgroup Leader.

Chris Littleton is a recent Past President of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association and is currently a very Atlanta REIA Business Member and Subgroup Leader.

Other people ask why we decided to form a new Atlanta Georgia REIA when there are already two other REIA’s in town including the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association. The reason is simple… we wanted to do more, teach more, network more, have more fun and do more community service than we were able to at the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association due to the way their organization is organized and run. Again, we wish to support the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association  and do not see Atlanta REIA as a competing real estate investor association. In a city of 5.6+ million plus people, we believe there are more than enough people interested in real estate to support both of our Atlanta Georgia real estate investing groups.

Others ask why so many Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc Past Presidents and members choose Atlanta REIA. That is a great question, and one you should ask those fine folks. Or, come see for yourself at any of our upcoming meetings.
